TRADITIONALIST SERIES
These are like those sweet casting "Back-in-the-day" rods that your daddy used. But with some very impressive changes. First, there is the blank. Modern-day blank materials and manufacturing techniques have created the same moderate-to moderately fast blank action that anglers fondly refer to as the "Traditional" action fly rod. Except these modern versions are much stronger and lighter. As an example, today's light line 8'6" four weight rod can have a swing weight of fewer than seven ounces. And with the right combination of modern-day intermediate carbon composite fibers, the rod blank can display 5x the strength of its "Back-in-the-day" predecessors, maintain that sweet progressive flex and with virtually no increase in blank diameter or weight. Impressive indeed. These are the blanks E.L.Keuling Rod Company use to build their "Traditionalist Series" fly rods.
Add premium special flor grade cork handles, chrome on stainless steel stripping and snake guides and stunningly attractive solid nickel silver reel seats with beautiful wood inserts and you have one very nice fly rod.
